The Malayalam movie "Drishyam" that broke the collection records is going to be remade in Tamil, after its Telugu version. The master actor Kamal Haasan signed an agreement to act in the lead role, which was done by Mohanlal as "Georgekutty" in its original version.
After watching the Malayalam version from Chennai, Kamal Haasan informed his interest to be a part of this movie. It was earlier reported that the Tamil cine-actor Vikram had also expressed interest to act as Georgekutty, after watching the movie. The movie would be produced under the banner of Wide Angle Creations by Suresh Balaji, who had bought the Tamil Remake rights for the movie.
The Tamil version will also be directed by Jeethu Joseph. He has postponed his next project in Malayalam as he is presently busy with the Screenplay works of the Tamil version.
