In this movie Gopi plays the father of Meera and Balu who,quite early in life,leaves his hapless kids to set up a second family.He later approaches the son as a beaten father.With just a few frames to his credit he leaves an indelible picture in the mind of the viewer as a defeated and broken person who still cares for the children of his first family.The role is in total contrast to his oft repeated self assured and egoistic characters.Here he is reduced to a self condemning alcoholic who stands humbled in front of his magnanimous son.
