MS Mani is nephew to famous Cameraman Ramanadhan. He was born in November 1926 at Thiruvananthapuram. Mrithyunjaya Ayyar and Balambal are his parents. MS Mani is a noted Malayalam movie editor and director. He joined the film industry in 1948 and his first film was Ashaadeepam. Later on he moved on to direction and his debut venture was Puthiya Akasham Puthiya Bhumi.
