Sri. S. Ramesan Nair was born on 3rd May1948, at Kumarapuram, in Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, as the eldest son of late Sri. A. Shadananan Thampi and late Smt. L. Parameswari Amma. Sri. S Ramesan Nair completed his education in M.A with rank from the University of Kerala in 1972.
In 1973, he was employed in State Institute of Languages. Later in 1975, he joined All India Radio and retired voluntarily for freedom in writing.
He has done and published several works including poems, plays, literatures, lyrics, translations and screenplays. His poems, studies and anthologies were prescribed as text books for various classes and University courses. He has received several awards including a state award.
Sri. S Ramesan Nair was positioned as the Chairman of Raveendran Music Foundation, Chairman of Balasahiti Praksan, Chairman of Mayilppeeli Movie Pvt. Ltd, Member of CBSE Advisory Board, Judge in award committees, President Malayala Sahithya Mandalam Kochi, a social worker and a well accepted orator.
