B. S. Saroja was an Indian actress in Malayalam movies and Tamil movies. She is the daughter of Johnson, who acted in the first Malayalam cinema ever, Vigathakumaran.
She was born to Johnson who acted in the first Malayalam cinema Vigathakumaran, and Rajalakshmi at Thiruvananthapuram in 1922. She had her primary education till Fourth forum. Then she joined a circus company. She travelled all over India with that. Then she acted in a Tamil movie as a junior artist. From 1941 to 1950 she acted in about 15 Tamil movies. Jeevitha Nouka (1951 )was her first Malayalam movie. She went on to act many movies after that. She was married to late T. R. Ramanna in 1949, a sound engineer turned movie director in Tamil movies. The couple started three cinema production companies known as R.R.Pictures, Vinayaga Pictures and Ganesh Pictures. They have three children. They are settled at Chennai.
