George Marangoly

Dr. George Marangoly is the eldest son of the late Mr. Varkey Marangoly and Kathrina. He completed his High School at the Government High School, Vadayar, Thalalyolaparambu; pre-University at St. Thomas College, Palai; and BA in Political Science from the University of Delhi. He also served in the Indian Air force until 1972.

In 1974 he migrated to the USA and lived there for more than three decades. George Marangoly is the founder-editor and publisher of PRABHATHAM (1979) - the first Malayalam newspaper in America.

He is the author of ten books in Malayalam and has published numerous stories and articles in periodicals in India, USA, and Japan.

Having completed his Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College, Boston, USA, and his Doctorate in Business Administration from Greenwich University, Hawaii, USA, George Marangoly undertook various administrative positions with the US Government in the United States and also overseas.

He is married to Mariamma George Marangoly, M.A., LLB., Attorney-at-Law.
