Sri. Devadas was born to Raghavan and Thankamma at Chingoli near Harippad in Alappuzha District. Devadas, who started writing lyrics in various periodicals, entered cinema after his acquaintance with Krishnaswami Reddiar, the then owner of Kumkumam magazine. He penned songs for the movie Raadha enna pennkutty, which was produced by Krishnaswami Reddiar. Later, he wrote songs for 3 other movies produced by him. He was better known through the songs of the movie Premageethangal. He has again started writing, after an interval.
