EM Kovoor

EM Kovoor was a prolific writer and has published at least 54 works in various fields such as Satire, Short Story, Drama, Memoirs, Biography, Children's literature, Travelogues, Novel, Law and Translations. Kaadu, Malakal, Kodumudikal, Hanipuranam (2 Volumes), Guhaajeevikal, Thikanja Pennu, Njan Kanda Bhoomi, Kattutharavu are some of his important works. EM Kovoor is mentioned in the history of Malayalam Cinema for the Story-Script-Dialogues of the movie Ammaye Kaanaan.

After completing school education from MGM High School, Thiruvalla, he joined Maharajas College Eranakulam and University College, Thiruvananthapuram. He took a degree in Law from the Law College, Thiruvananthapuram and enrolled himself at the then High Court of Thiruvananthapuram as an advocate. He then became a Muncif and retired from the service as a Sessions Judge.
