Kavara Sasankan of Kavara Chirayil House, was a former stage actor and cinema-serial star. He was born to local community leader Sankara Panicker. Sasankan entered the professional drama field through Thiruvananthapuram Souparnika's drama "Ambu". He also acted in almost 50 dramas including Aradhana Theatres' Bandhanam and Sharath and several amateur dramas. Later, he entered the Cinema-Serial field.
He acted in more than 40 Malayalam movies including Nadi, Vamsham, Maayapponmaan, Ninnishtam Ennishtam and Malappuram Haji Mahaanaaya Joji. In addition to this, he also acted in TV Serials like Jwaalayaayi, Ayyappan, Maanikkyachempazhukka and also a telemovie called Krishnankuttyude Visheshangal.
He was under treatment for about 2 months in Thiruvananthapuram Medical College for a liver-related illness, but later succumbed to it.
His brothers SS Anandan and Kavara Satheeshan were also movie actors of yesteryear.
